This is a relationship business. We've seen the papers, the inks and finishes, the equipment change massively over the years. We print small orders and long runs; stationery, posters, brochures, magazines. Using state-of-the-art equipment we proof, plate, print and finish in-house, and as a contract publisher we can design, edit and mail too. One-stop shopping to keep delivery fast and prices low.

After many years working as a supervisor for one of the best printers in the country, Tony joined Pagefast in 2004. He has been instrumental in lifting us to new levels of working practice and quality control. Dawn is our star estimator and your best friend at Pagefast. A whizz with our management software and expert at finding those little ways of knocking a penny off here, a ha'penny there.

And if you're new to buying. Ian has worked in publishing for 25 years. He was editor in chief for Asia's largest trade publisher before working in New York for a diverse range of clients, including, to his continuing bewilderment, the US military.
Services
Pagefast is Lancaster's leading commercial printer.
Back in 1989 we started small, with a mind to developing relationships and seeing where we could go.
We're now Lancaster's biggest lithographic and digital printer - and we're still working for the client who gave us our first break.
We handle a lot of conventional commercial print - stationery, brochures, advertising materials and so on - but a large part of our business lies in the provision of contract publishing services.
We produce a diverse range of periodicals, ranging from glossy A4 magazines to a weekly newspaper.
We do conventional commercial printing - business stationery, flyers, brochures, and so on - and magazine printing.
We do long runs and short runs; simple one-colour jobs and the all-singing, all-dancing full monty.
We serve international businesses, schools and universities, clubs, professional bodies and individuals.
And unusually for a printer, because of our magazine contracts we have a full raft of complementary services.
Every PC comes bundled with simple publishing software, so anyone nowadays can prepare their own artwork.
We are very mindful of the need to protect the environment.
The print industry has advanced a long way since the days of hot-metal printing, and our primary raw materials - ink and paper - predominantly now are environmentally sound.
At Pagefast we eliminated the worst remaining source of pollution in 2005, installing a chemistry-free digital platesetter.
Ours was only the second of its type to be installed in the Cumbria / North Lancashire region.
We have since replaced this machine with a model that is the second to be installed nationwide.
If that reads like a foreign language, or if you would just like clarification on a couple of points, the following guidelines may help.
Failing that, drop us a line or give us a call.
We'd be delighted to help.
Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format used to present and exchange documents independent of software, hardware, or operating system.
In other words, what you see on your computer should match what we see when we open your file on ours.
Most creative software applications will enable you to generate a PDF directly from within the application, often via the Print function.
Unfortunately the flooding has forced us out.
The risk was too much with over 1m in machinery we just couldn't afford for it to get wet again!
So we took the decision in 2018 to look to merge with another printer who share's our values, but not our flood risk.
Same people, same work, just a different place.
