I joined the company in 1983 after studying graphic design and print at Batley Art College - I learned the traditional way before computers!
The 1970s were the days of letterpress printing using the old lead letters and running 3 Original Heidelberg Platens one of which I still have and use on a regular basis although only for numbering and perforating now.
Then moving into litho printing using photographic printing plates which are much faster and give a far superior quality job.
Still used today and are ideal for longer run jobs and NCR work giving superb quality and of course with all artwork being produced on computers.
