George Barclay founded the company in 1952, the same year Elizabeth II acceded the throne, unlike her majesty, George sought retirement 1973.
With no children to leave his business to, George offered it for sale to one of his most dedicated and talented printers, Jack Amos.
Jack brought together his family and his in-laws, to fund the purchase of the business and George W Barclay remains a family business to this day, owned by the Amos family.
Jack retired in 2001 and his son David is the current MD, with his grandson, Richard coming into the business in 2015 and currently undergoing a full training programme in all departments.
