Services
Qdex was set up in 2002 as a partial buyout from an existing label company.
Since then we have rapidly expanded our client base within both the private and public sectors.
Our customers range from large blue chip companies through to the 'one man band' micro businesses.
The vast majority of our customers are in the SME sector.
Many of our clients have been with us years.
We believe this is a result of our business philosophy which is to build long term relationships with our customers, listen to their needs and offer the most suitable solutions, whilst keeping their costs to an absolute minimum.
Digitally printed labels on rolls are fast becoming the most popular method of print.
Labels can be printed up to full colour on paper or synthetic materials, then varnished or overlaminated.
Metallic looks can also be created.
There are no artwork or plate charges and multiple designs can be run very economically.
For large quantities, flexographic print is often still the most cost effective method.
Once an order is produced the plates are retained, and as long there are no changes to the artwork, the plates may be used again, saving the cost of repurchasing them.
The creation of barcodes and other variable data can be daunting when looked at for the first time.
However, we can assist you should you want to print barcodes yourself or have us produce them on your behalf.
Using our own thermal label printers we can print sharp high resolution images on to a variety of paper and synthetic substrates.
All you need to do is provide us with the barcode type and numbers.
We print and authenticate to most barcode symbologies including the more common ones of EAN-13 used in retail, Code 39 and Code 128.
We are able to supply chemical labels for a variety of applications.
They are generally supplied on rolls or sheets and can be printed by ourselves before variable data is then added by the customer.
Short runs of chemical labels are not a problem.
Our hazard labels on sheets are usually supplied in A4 format with the labels die cut on the sheet.
They are made form a polyethylene 'Teslin' material which is suitable for laser printing.
The Teslin itself is tough and durable yet 'stretchable' making it ideal for labelling chemical drums where expansion and contraction of the drum itself might occur.
These are great for use as product labels, when a 'no label' look is required.
This particularly applies to transparent bottles of liquid, allowing the product to be clearly seen through the label.
In the case of sheets we supply clear polyester laser labels in a wide variety of sizes and formats.
These can either be supplied plain for you to print on your laser printer, or pre-printed.
We also supply clear labels on rolls, printed up to full colour and then either varnished or overlaminated with a clear film.
