We started out in Scotland in 1970 as Impact Printing Company Ltd supplying Cheque printing equipment and MICR ribbons to the security printing industry.
Through our involvement in the security printing industry we were introduced to hot foil stamping through our early innovations in signature strips for credit cards.
From these origins we derived our name Foil Ribbon & Impact Printing Group Ltd through which we have developed the FRIP brand known by the industry today.
We gained our expertise in Hot foil stamping and embossing through servicing the luxury packing requirements of the Scottish whisky industry, based near Glasgow we quickly became established as experts within Scotland servicing the needs of the print, publishing and packaging markets.
