Thank you for taking the time to look at the web site of Harquil Printing. I am a specialist producer of letterpress and foiled wedding invitations. Operating out of an old Victorian mill near Halifax, West Yorkshire, Harquil is a one stop shop for invitations and personal stationery. Letterpress is a beautiful and timeless way to put ink onto paper and when combined with hot foil, most excellent results can be produced.
Of course invitations can also be solely letterpress or hot foil aswell. I also manufacture my own envelopes in house to get exact match in shade between invitations and envelopes. On top of that I can also supply orders of service. All my stationery items are unique and created from scratch or you can supply your own artwork in pdf format which I can work from.

Services
All my invitation pieces are created from either customers artwork supplied or a customer brief where I create the artwork in-house.
There is no extra charge for the artwork creation.
Proofing is by PDF file on email.
I do not use templates but prefer to create each invitaton design from scratch to make them unique.
Card material is supplied by GF SMITH in the main.
Their colorplan material is available in many weights and shades.
It is uncoated and slightly textured which gives excellent results with both hotfoil and letterpress.

Standard gummed envelopes are bought in are 110gsm in weight and although not an exact match in colour to the invitations are quite close.
If you require envelopes in the same material as the invitation for an exra charge these can be supplied specially made to order by myself.
These envelopes are manufactured in 120gsm GF Smith colourplan material and are self seal.
Envelope liners are a diecut piece of paper which can be slipped into and envelope to increase the opacity of the envelope.
This also, of course heightens the aesthetic look of the pice.

Rather than putting your invitations and inserts loose in and envelope you can send them out in either a wallet or a folder.
The wallet will fit an invitation on heavy 540gsm material and up to three inserts in 350gsm material.
If you would like to see examples in the flesh send me your addess and I shall post something out to you.

They are usually produced as a card cover(350gsm) with a number of inside pages (from 4 to 20) printed on 120gsm paper to match.
The cover can be printed in letterpress, raised or flat print.
If you do not have a lot of content I can just supply a single sheet on heavy card folded in half (no inners).
There are two price bands - One using conqueror paper and another using colourplan.
Both are acceptable sheets.
The colourplan is more bulky so is better to show the indentation created by hot foil or letterpress printing.

Costs below are for letterpress and foiled cards in either one or two colours, single or double sided.
The prices are based on a card being exclusively hot-foiled or letterpress printed.
If you require a card to be both foiled and letterpress printed, for example letterpress text plus a foiled logo, please use the letterpress price with the addition of a 12 die charge, to cover the additional cost of the special hotfoil die.
Prices relate to just one version.
If you have more than one version (eg different names etc), please email me the specification and I shall put a special price together for you.
