We are an independent company who offers short run, perfect bound book printing packages which include ISBN registration along with barcode creation bringing your book ready for the market. Perfect Bound books are bookshop quality and are bound using a hot melt binder, often referred to as a 'Perfect Binder'. The process of perfect binding involves the milling of the spine edge of the unbound book to create a rough surface for the glue to bond to.
The book block then passes over a very hot glue tank where glue is applied by a revolving wheel. The pre creased cover is pressure clamped on to the book block and the glue is allowed to set. Once cooled, the bound books are then trimmed flush to the desired finished size. Novels, Poetry Books, Holiday / Travel Guides, Academic, Children's Story Books and many Trade Books are generally bound using the Perfect Binding method.
