Ray Hurd RAPIT 3D Printing
I am Ray Hurd a 3D printing engineer based in Braintree covering the Chelmsford and Braintree areas of Essex. It is not always our choice to replace something but often a household item becomes unusable because one of its plastic parts has broken. It can sometimes be impossible to source a replacement part, especially when the item is several years old.

This is where Rapit 3D Printing can help! A replica part can be designed and printed to replace the original. If you have the broken part this can be modelled on 3D software before being produced on one of our 3D printers. Rapit 3D has been operating in the field for many years and can 3D Print all sorts of different plastic parts. If you would like to check if it is possible to have your plastic component produced and get an idea how much it would cost please get in touch.

Prices are very good value for single or multiple parts! No job is too small! The quality of our printed parts is remarkable whether printed in PLA or ABS. Our material suppliers always ensure that quality is maintained and many of customers supply the standard file type STL, but it is no problem for us to create one for you.
Services
I have been an engineering designer for many years.
I have been a member of the Institute of Engineering Design for a long time and am now a fellow FIED.
Many of the designed products were from conception through to market place (see case studies).
To this day, I continue to use my extensive experience in designing products for my clients for suitable 3D printing.
I have been a product designer for 40+ years, including plastics mould tool 3D modelling since 1998 and 3D printing for the past 8 years.
Thingiverse is a great place to download files in thousands of useful and fun digital files.
So when you have the file (STL file) in your computer you can use it to produce the part for your use, e.g.
3D print it out as a plastic component.
However, if you don't have a 3D printer, what do you do?
Well, this is where I come in.
I have been 3D printing Thingiverse parts for customers for years.
I generally 3D 'make' the part in PLA plastic, the colour of which can be chosen by the customer.
Thingiverse to thingimade!
